Glass Office

3723 SQUARE FEET

The Challenge
The existing 2-story building in a downtown area was used for retail at the street level and hotel on the second floor. The owners required the entire building to be remodeled into corporate offices over multiple phases. They sought a relatively open feeling while affording small group privacy and work areas.

The Result
The solution leveraged the existing physical attributes, tall ceiling heights on the ground floor and wood stud bearing walls on the second floor, to maximize a work environment with a unique intimate feeling. At the ground level, open mezzanines created additional cozy work spaces. On the second level, existing studs were stripped bare and finished with glass panels clip mounted between to give a sense of enclosure without discouraging visibility and light.
